Finally, part of the larger environmental movement is to advocate
for a better
international distribution of resources. A vast amount
of the world’s resources
are concentrated among relatively few of
its inhabitants. Some of our challenge
ahead will be to better
distribute food, water and other resources across many
lands,
cultures and people in a way that nurtures – rather than destroys –
our
planet.

Consider enhancing your celebration by making a donation to an
organization that is dedicated to improving the
environment at a
local, national or international level. The

facilitates partnering of gift registries with
charitable non-profit
foundations. A percentage of every gift purchase is donated to
one’s favorite charity at no extra
cost to the person purchasing the
gift.
Mazon
Also consider a donation to
Mazon or other domestic or
international program that helps to provide food or other basic
necessities to people who need it in this country and around the
world.
